How perfume is made
Compound
The fragrance concentrate is blended from the approved formula and checked against the reference sample.
Maceration
The concentrate is mixed with perfumer’s alcohol and left to mature. This is what rounds the scent, and it adds two to three weeks to the timeline.
Chill and filter
The perfume is chilled and filtered so it stays clear in the bottle and does not cloud in a cold warehouse.
Fill and crimp
Filled, the spray pump crimped on permanently, labelled and boxed.

Why fragrance is a strong private label category
Perfume carries the highest perceived value per millilitre in beauty. The liquid is a small part of the cost; the bottle, the box and the story are what customers pay for — which is exactly the part your brand controls.
Shipping perfume
Alcohol-based perfume is a flammable liquid for shipping. It travels on dangerous-goods-capable lanes, which cost more than ordinary freight. Perfume oils and solid perfume avoid most of that. Our shipping estimator includes the surcharge.
Fragrance allergens on the label
The EU requires listed fragrance allergens above set thresholds to be named on the label, and the list was extended in 2023. We supply the allergen breakdown for every scent so your label is right for the market you sell in.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for private label perfume?
100 units per scent in stock bottles. Custom glass and printed boxes start at 1,000.
Can you copy a designer perfume?
No. We create original scents or work from your brief. Copies and “dupes” named after another brand are a trademark risk.
Why does perfume take longer than lotion?
Maceration. The perfume needs two to three weeks to mature after blending before it is filtered and filled.
Can I start with a discovery set?
Yes. A set of three to six small vials is a cheap way to test which scents your customers prefer before ordering full bottles.
Is perfume harder to ship?
